Provide mechanical engineering expertise and ensure that engineering and structural work are planned and executed in a safe and efficient manner to meet the schedule and work standards.
Degree or HND in Mechanical discipline or its equivalent
More than 10 years’ experience in engineering work in the petrochemical/oil and gas or power generation industry.
a. English language read, write and speaking to IELTS level 4 or equivalent
b. Able to work with computers, word, excel applications as well as Microsoft windows
c. Aware of different pipe, gaskets and bolting materials
d. Familiar with the different welding techniques and its quality requirements
e. Good knowledge and understanding of various process equipment
a. Good interpersonal and communication skills
b. Demonstrable problem solving and decision making skills
a. Provide the required engineering level support and structure calculation for the field activities.
b. Provide support in lifting plan preparation.
c. Organise up to 5 Supervisors and act as stand in for the Site Superintendent (when away from office).
d. Organise the materials and equipment for WORK’S.
e. Trouble shoot, test and propose repair methods without any supervision.
f. Develop lifting plans and structural calculations.
g. Plan associated activities for a smaller shutdown works well in advance.
h. Assist in QA/QC/HSE compliance audits and HSE Plans.
i. Carry out calculation of special scaffolding structure such as overhang type, the hanging type and scaffolds over 30 metres height from ground level to top to prove
the correctness of the construction in accordance with BS EN 12811-1:2003.
